The coolest yet creepiest arcade.

A couple of days ago Felix and I had plans to meet with Emma (Tokidoki Traveller) and Joey (The Anime Man).

This incredibly unique arcade was suggested, and so we went on a 45 minute train ride and quickly made our way to Kawasaki after lunch.

You can surely spot the building.

It was less than 10 minutes walk from the station.

There are two entrances: this one, from the road, which sprays loud air as you enter (this made Felix jump!).

And this one, from the parking lot, which is where everybody wants their picture taken.

Every aspect of the inside is made to recreate a now demolished city in Hong Kong.

Kowloon Walled City – the place this arcade chose as its backdrop – was originally a Chinese military fort where prostitution, gamblings and drugs took over.

So when you walk here, you really feel like you are wandering around an abandoned area, with it’s small streets and restaurants, looking into someone’s apartment.

The only thing to break from how realistic this place is, are the gaming stations and grabbing machines.

And I quite like that contrast, it’s basically what I love: creepy, abandoned places, combined with cutesy and fun things to do.

This place is actually quite big, with multiple floors (as you can guess from the outside of the building) and to my surprise, it was completely free to enter!

So if you want to just explore, you can totally do that. But of course, playing at the arcade adds to the fun.

I was able to win this little guy. His name is Ki (tree in Japanese), as Felix was throwing him around on the street and got stuck on a tree – thankfully Emma had a water bottle and we managed to save him!

If you are ever in Tokyo, and you are into this sort of stuff, I highly recommend stopping by, as you can just spend an afternoon in there and then easily make your way back to Tokyo on the same day.

That’s it from reporter Marzia on the Kawasaki Warehouse!
Have a spooky day, everyone.

    Hi Marzia!

Maybe this is not the right place to post it but I have tried everything else already 😦

I ordered a few clothing items from your AMORE line (order M27010) on 1 February.

I did not receive my order so I tried to contact hey@reelstyle.co on 28 February, 14 March and then on 6 April.
I never received any answer from them!

    What should I do?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Marzia I think it would be amazing if you and Felix did a video completely in Japanese or hold a lengthy conversation in Japanese? Would like to see the fruits of your self-teaching!

Your photos are amazing. Marzia is the one who inspired me to start writing a blog myself, and ever since I started (recently haha) I’ve been so happy and proud of it. Marzia’s blog, her youtube channel, everything she does inspires me so much ❤ So thank you to Marzia for being such a big inspiration xxx

Wait, did Sanrio pay for this too? Rich people get free stuff all the time, it’s a bit mental. Her and her boyfriend really live in a bubble. I mean good for them, but they don’t live in reality.

sanrio paid for another trip xD, this one they paid for themselves.

besides they don’t get free stuff because they’re rich,

      1. they’re not rich
      2. their income comes from making videos
      3. they get free stuff because they do sponsorships, which you should do research on if you’re interested because despite what people think its not really ‘unfair’ or anything, its a purely beneficial thing for both parties

but i know that part of being a successful youtuber is about luck, however, marzia and felix know that, and they’re not ungrateful for what they have.
the problem is that people see people who seem to ‘have it all’ and start to make up opinions about people based on very little information (which we all do, and sometimes we do it without realising) but its okay cause know you know 🙂

OMG! I wanna go! I hope travel to Japan one day and see by myself this bulding. It remember me a sort of Bioshock (a videogame), just a little, because Bioshock is underwater, but the scenarios are similar.

Anyway, have a nice day! 😀
