Something different.

Today’s blog post features Felix photos, as I asked him to go on a walk and photograph anything he liked.

I originally wanted a single photo that I could use for a ‘catch up’ kind of post, but after seeing his photos, I found them interesting to look at: what caught my attention was the colours and shapes he seems to be drawn to.

Today I’m battling was seems to be the biggest cold sore in history: it appeared yesterday morning, and right now I can barely speak because it is just. so. huge.

I really wanted to take this time, of me being home, to write about something… the problem was that I needed at least a photo to go with this post, which is why – after lunch – I saw Felix preparing the pugs for a walk, and put my camera around his neck, telling him to snap photos of whatever he wanted to. I didn’t request anything specific, which is why I somewhat expected him to simply take a photo of a flower, which would have been enough, but what I received back was (read in Felix’s tone) very nice!

I particularly liked this photo, I think the contrast makes it pretty, but the fact that you see the dirty glass barely lighting up and the sun glaring between the roof details, turns it into a gorgeous picture.

But that wasn’t all I liked: I noticed how he only really photographed highly saturated subjects. This isn’t the result of me boosting the colours: the sky was that blue; the roof was bright green; and this brick wall is hit by a yellow sun, making it look warm.

Anyway, everything is well (except for my massive bottom lip) and yesterday I’ve filmed a new video, which will be up tomorrow!

Who is excited for December?

Those photos are so cool. It’s crazy photography changes so much between person to person. The colour scheme is so different in this blogpost 😮
I can’t wait for your new video to come out Marzia! Are you going to be doing anything on fashion soon? I love seeing your style ❤️

I think that this is such a neat idea… it’s an interesting way to learn a little bit more about someone that you already know quite well. I’m thinking now about what very different pictures my husband and I would take if we were to do something similar. Thanks for sharing!

Hope that you feel better soon… cold sores are awful!

They look amazing! Specially the first one, with the lovely green roof, and the one with the sun setting… makes me feel cozy, nostalgic almost…
Also, Maya looks so cute, it’s actually ridiculous haha ❤
It is a curious exercise, and another way of getting to know someone, or the way that person sees the world, just by seeing the pics they take when you give them a camera..
Hope the cold sore goes away soon!
And congrat Felix for the gorgeous pics!
Have a nice day Marzia! ❤

Felix snapped some really pretty pictures! I’m pretty excited for December. I love Christmas and New Years and everything that come with it, this year we will be celebrating this in Spain so no snow on Christmas haha. Besides this school is hosting a Winterbal so i’m looking forward to wearing a fancy dress and dancing the night away.

I hope you feel better soon!

It’s so interesting to see the world through someone else’s eyes! I love looking through seemingly random photos from someone’s day, as it makes you focus on things that you might have missed had you been the one taking the photos. It’s amazing how different everyone’s minds can be.

I never realised that Felix had such an eye for photography either! It’s awesome seeing another side to someone and realising that there’s so much more than meets the eye.

It’s refreshing to see minimalistic photography every once in a while, and they did come out veery nice. We hope you get better soon, cold sores aren’t really much fun 😦
