You guessed it. I went back to Italy.

Excuse the quality of these photos. I was not planning on doing a blog post, but I realised it had been a little while since I showed up.

So here is an update!

I stayed at my parents house for about 4 days. Mainly I went back for my dad’s birthday, on the 21st, but also because, on the same day, I had x-rays to do.

I tested for something, which turns out I don’t have, so it’s great news! Still not sure what causes my stomach problems, but I have been doing lots lately to figure it out and I think I’m on the right path.

I also took the chance, whilst being there, to go through some old photos, and get a few for a video I have been planning. It’s not technically about old pictures, but they will accompany the video. You will see! 😉 (if it turns out okay, hah).

Check out this photo of my brother (as a teen), so Instagram-mable!

My dad also drove up to Recoaro, a place I saw on the way to the mountains a few months back, and mentioned that it seemed cute, so he showed me around.

Isn’t this abandoned building so stunning?

Here we are, next to a Christmassy looking hut.

Oh, my hair, I could’t be bothered to fix it that day.

While I was away, Felix sent me this photo of the pugs, which was too cute not to share.

Now I’m back in Brighton, typing this post, but tomorrow – hopefully – I have enough time to film the video I have in mind!

What have you been up to for the past few days?

    Hi Marzia!

I loved your new video on travelling, it made me realise all the wonderful places I haven’t visited yet! I was wondering what book you used to show the map of each country, it looked like such a cute book I would love to own a copy!

Happy birthday to your dad! You know, since I live in Veneto too I always hope to see you when you’re here… I remember when Felix and you visited Treviso (my city) and I didn’t see you, I cried a little bit ahah, but never mind, hope you had a great time with your family😊

Ohh last weekend me and a few friends took a road trip to the Crescent Hotel in Arkansas, one of America’s most haunted hotels! It was really old timey and spooky it was a lot of fun. Have you ever stayed anywhere haunted?

Marzia, I know you haven’t shared much about your stomach problems, outside of trying to seek answers for it, but I thought maybe I’d suggest something? I was having similar problems with my stomach and sometimes my tongue would hurt after eating. I eventually met with a doctor that specializes in food allergies and they found out that I’m allergic to citric acid — which is in almost everything! Apparently young women often develop it in their early 20s, and it’s suitably rare (and won’t kill you), so it’s not exactly the first thing doctors will look for when you have stomach issues. This allergy is something that just occurs and, if you haven’t already explored it with a doctor, maybe try to cut certain foods out of your diet to see if that’s what is making you sick?
