Vivaaa, Las Vegas!

Screen Shot 2016-11-14 1at 10.57.45.jpg

Yesterday I got back from a fun weekend away.

I’m here to share some photos with you!

Getting to Las Vegas from LA took us around 5 hours, but DJ Marzia took the chance to play some music on the way, and the scenery was absolutely stunning.

We arrived there at 5pm, and this was the view from our room. Pretty insane!

We stayed at Bellagio Hotel, cause when I was looking up different places on Booking, this one stood out for the strange yet very pretty decorations everywhere.

Soon after, I realised all of Las Vegas is exuberant, but still, our stay there was nice, and being so centrally located was great.

We only really do just one attraction, the High Roller, which we got the tickets for first, and then went to eat dinner all together.

We went to the Yard House, and there I honestly had the best fake grilled chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. Aaaah, just thinking about it makes me so hungry – haha!

Here is a photo of me and Felix up high.

The wheel was a nice ride, 30 minutes to go around and very spacious, although you do have to share it with many other people, as it fits 25 in total.

Then we went to the Venetian, which brings me back home (in a way).

I originally wanted to get on a gondola, but the outdoor ones weren’t available, so instead we entered the mall, which mimics the city on a sunny day.

This was such a nice surprise, I didn’t know this area existed and I got way too excited!

Nearby there was an Oxygen bar, where basically they give you some tubes to stick up your nose and smell pure oxygen with a hint of scent. I didn’t try it out, nor did Felix, but Brad, Emma and Michael surely enjoyed it. πŸ˜‰

The next morning we strolled around to get some lunch, and then decided to visit an exposition… of desiccated bodies.

Totally get it if this is not your thing, but we all found it pretty fascinating, although quite unusual.

There was this “Death Room”, which consisted on a long dark corridor and at the end there were bones and information to read.

Emma took the coolest photo of me in there!

But then it was time to leave. It took us a total of 7 hours to get back, and on the way to Los Angeles, we managed to spot the huge moon from last night. It looks very blurry, cause we were on a moving car, but somehow I find this picture stunning.

Anyway, video coming in just a few minutes. Be ready! πŸ˜‰

Vegas, well southern California in general, is so pretty! The photo of you guys “the next morning” has such a stunning view, it almost looks like it was taken in the indoor gondola! How did you decide what to do while there, with so many options, and how did this trip compare to last year’s San Francisco weekend?

Las Vegas is so packed that it left me feeling like I never wanted to be that close to human bodies ever again. Haha, but at least, it does have some pretty scenery. And you guys looked like you had fun so that’s all that matters. πŸ™‚ I saw that exhibition, Bodies, in San Diego a looong time ago and thought it was so amazing! I always remember it and how amazing it was, especially the one where they have all the blood vessels or whatever expanded on air and it created a huge human. It is really interesting!
Can’t wait for the vlogggg. πŸ˜€

    The photos are great! πŸ˜„
The last time I went to Las Vegas I was just a kid, so it would be nice to go back now that I’m older and can appreciate the city more!
I have also eaten at Yard House before and I had these fake chicken wings and they were so good!

Just finish watching your video and oh my, it was such a fun trip! The museum looked fascinating. I used to take life drawing classes, and during one session, the teacher took the class the hospital nearby to draw cadavers. It was my first time seeing corpses, but strangely, I was not afraid at all. In fact, I wanted to look at them so closely to catch the details and air of motionless bodies.

Somehow, I imagine the following dialogue between you and the gang:

    -Let’s go see the exhibition!
-But it’s with… desiccated bodies, Marzia!
    -Exactly! *spooky laugh*

But it really is something worthy of a visit! I saw it in London and it is pretty fascinating to see the way we are really made and how it all works so well together.

Uppppsss.. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Marzia! If you and Felix decide to go back to Vegas, I suggest you two go ziplineing together. I have a feeling you would really enjoy it! Also, their is an area to go to outside of the flashy Vegas, which is called old Vegas, where they have a strip of older casinos and what not. Have an awesome day πŸ™‚

Marzia, do you have any tips to become vegetarian? I really want to do so, I love animals and I don’t want to hurt them anymore! But it is not easy… how did you do it? Was it a slow change or you just decided you would be vegetarian one day and then voila? Hope you answer! tHANKS

Did you get to see Fremont Street? It’s so cool, they have a zip line and this umbrella screen over the whole street that plays videos at night. Also, the venetian is so gorgeous, by far my favorite hotel there! πŸ™‚
