You know me. I love spooky stuff.
I love Psycho.
I like the Bates Motel tv series.
I’m fascinated by abandoned buildings.
And I have an obsession with white.
Well, let me show you the “Bates Motel”, which not only matches all the things I wrote above, but is also an art installation.

I have came to know about this building last year, whilst staying here. I just didn’t have the time to come, for some reason, so this time I made sure I would.
The building was close (the gates were closed, not sure if you can usually enter into the small open area), so I only snapped a few photos from the outside, but just being there, made me happy.
From what I have gathered, the Sunset Pacific hotel has been abandoned for a long time, looking sinister and torn.
There were plans to demolish it, but eventually the artist Vincent Lamouroux made it into a project, and turned it into an art installation by painting all white.
The result is great, although I was a bit sad to see that people already started to cover the building with new graffiti…
Either way, it looks really cool, and spotting it on the road, standing out with its tall white palm trees, was very exciting it.
Have you ever heard about this place before?
