Sometimes, that’s all you need.

A little update… and giveaway!

Day 6 of recovering from food poisoning. It started to get better, yesterday I thought I was fine but then last night it came back.

Today, after eating so little for the entire week (because I would just feel sick afterwards and eventually loose appetite) I decided to go out, and get myself something delicious.

A bagel with avocado, lettuce and mozzarella. I really hope I will be able to digest it. So far, so good.

I’ve also gotten a new manicure, and I’m in love.

But anyway, the reason why I’m writing this post is actually school related.

Yesterday, after an entire day of working on it, I managed to draw my first floor plan (it was part of an assignment for my Interior Design course). At first, it was a bit daunting, but when I got into it, it was super fun, and now I’m really proud of it!

Here is a little sneak peak. Now that this is done, I can relax a bit without stressing over the deadline. YAY!

Because it’s the end of August, and school in Italy usually begins in September, I thought I should do a small giveaway —> NOW CLOSED.

Nothing too crazy, but hopefully some of you might be interested!

Revelmode recently sent me a massive care package (thank you very much!) but because there was so much stuff included, I figured I would share some with you.

So in this giveaway, there is a cool backpack that you can customise, crayons, emoji toys for you and your friends, a bottle (I have the same one and it’s great for the gym) and a few games – one of which is a mini drone!

Edited: Hey, the winner has now been selected. I usually post here the name, but in her case it’s her e-mail address, so for privacy reasons I directly notified her about it. If you have not received a message from me, you didn’t win this time, but thank you so much for joining, and all the lovely comments. More giveaways to come. πŸ™‚

Glad you’re recovering from food poisoning, I’ve gone through the same thing and it was a nightmare… Do you know how you got it? Is Felis suffering too?
Anyways, good luck and thanks as always for the inspiration!

I think it’s so great that you’re going back to get an education! I’ve always like interior design but have never taken a class, I am studying biochemistry. But one of my favorite things to do when I was little was to play the sims and spend literally hours designing the house and floor plan and decorating it. Hope you feel better soon!

And I love the floor plan! My aunt just recently built a home and I had the chance to see the floor plans and I gotta say, you did an amazing job on your plans! They look so clean and cute. ^.^

Hi Marzia! I was wondering how thick you made your walls because it looks a little thick. I study Architecture and we were taught that walls are around 150-200mm, but I’m not sure if it applies world-wide since I’m from a tropical country and maybe you have thicker walls there for insulation during winter. I can’t be sure. Also, your toilet looks a little small. Maybe you used the wrong scale or what. Lastly, your sofa near the entry might not have view of the TV anymore because it’s too far back. Maybe you can scoot your TV a bit downward or lose the lounge chair and move your entire living area upward. Please forgive me if I sound rude, I’m just trying to help. Overall, it’s pretty good for your first try! What software did you use?

Also, I suggest you buy a Designer’s guide book to help you out in the future with your homework/ projects. It’s a big help, it has a list of standard sizes of furniture, or how high a person’s reach is to help out in designing cabinets and the like. It also has guides on how far the toilet should be from the wall so the person using it won’t be in a tight situation, how big dining tables should be if there are 4,6,8,etc. people using.

I’m glad you feel better Marzia!

I can’t believe that in half a month I’ll be back to school (in my country, Greece schools open in Sptember as well), yet I don’t mind ,to be honest I didn’t have much fun this summer, it was more chill and relax, except of last Sunday that I went to the movies with my friends to watch Suicide Squad and we had a great time, really awesome movie! πŸ˜›

Thanks for sharing, love your posts! :3

Hi Marzia! Good job with your first floor plan, I hope you enjoyed working on it! My favourite part of design a new building is the first one, when you grab your sketchbook and start draw everything comes in your mind… The actual PC part, with the CAD drawings, the 3ds and the details usually is pretty time-consuming and challenging, at least for me!
Have you hand draw something for this assignement?
Hope the effects of the food poisoning haven’t bothered you anymore.
Wish you a beautiful start for the new month, baci :3

    Hi Marzia!

I’m wondering what school you’re going to, or what your education is called (if you don’t want to tell the name of the school). Like, what should I search for if I want to study something similar to what you are doing?
When I saw what you are studying and working with I got this feeling that this might be what I want to work with in the future!

Hope you will have time to answer. πŸ™‚

    Take care! xo
