A soft and peachy makeup look.
Today I was getting ready and had some new makeup waiting to be tried. I mixed everyday products whilst playing with some new ones, and this look came out.
I wasn’t planning to make a tutorial, but since I really like it, I decided to snap some photos and show you what I’ve used!
First of all, I know what you are thinking: ‘where did you get that headband?”
As soon as I saw it on the ASOS website, I instantly bought it. Sometimes I browse through it and save some items, but even just a day later, whatever it is that I wanted, might be gone.
I couldn’t risk it, and I’m happy to tell you that it’s still available here.
If you are also wondering about the top, here it is.
Instead of wearing it like the model – like you are supposed to – I tied the strings in the front of my neck, and pulled up the sleeves all the way to the top of the shoulders. I think it looks even cuter this way! 😉
But now, onto the makeup: the real difference are the eyes.
I have been wearing rusty/red tones for a while now, but lately I have been dragging the eyeshadow longer at the bottom, to create a mirrored shade of the cat eye wing.
Today, I have also added a pop of colour by using bright yellow right under the black eyeliner.
So on top, I’m wearing the Sigma pigment in “Lush” all over the eyelid; at the bottom I’m using my favourite shade from the Sweet Peach palette by Too Faced, “Candied Peach”; and the yellow is from the NYX Avant Pop palette.
I finished my eye makeup by adding black eyeliner (the Sailor Moon one I reviewed months ago) as well as the double ended mascara by Tarte, which I’m loving.
For the eyebrows I used a thin pencil by Paul&Joe, which I actually really liked cause it matched my eyebrow colour really well. I made tiny strokes all over, without filling my eyebrows in too much.
As a base I used the Paul&Joe “Moisturising Primer”, which felt very light on the skin and helped with smoothing out my skin tone.
For foundation and concealer I selected two of my favourite makeup products from Tarte.
For contour, I used the same product as usual – the Rosie for Autograph contour – for blush, I tried this lovely peachy shade by Paul&Joe, and for highlight, I went for the lightest shade in the Paul&Joe “poppy” palette (001). This last one could have worked well for all 3 of these steps, so it will be handy to travel with since it comes with both highlight, blush and contour shades.
For the lips, before starting my makeup I applied some of this lip balm by Paul&Joe, and right after I layered this other lipstick on top (A 025) and worked really well together! The lip balm has a very waxy consistency, which I wouldn’t usually go for, but made my lips feel very nice and plump instantly so I kept it on. Adding the lipstick on top made it less rich in colour, more sheer, so it made it less of a statement lip, which I generally prefer during the day time.
And here you can look at all the makeup I’ve used, and how each product looks like.
Now that I’m ready, I’m gonna rush out the door, as I have somewhere I need to be.
Hope you enjoyed the post!
