PRESTON PARK.

April 30th, 2016

The sun came out. Time to go to the park!

IMG_6465.JPG

The last time Felix and I went for a picnic we decided to take the bikes, so we weren’t able to bring the puggies with us, but today, the weather was wonderful (and still is) so we got some bagels and made our way to Preston Park, with Maya and Edgar!

The park is pretty big: the entrance is all the way to the right, in the middle there is the clock tower, and on the other side of the park, there is the Preston Manor.

I once before came here with my parents, looking for the villa, which is supposed to be extremely haunted, but somehow we missed this sign so we had no idea where to find it.

I have been wanting to visit it for a while now, but dogs aren’t allowed inside, so I had to skip it this time as well. But I’m not giving up, I’m hoping to come back and actually check it out next time. I will make sure to bring you with me!

Today we only decided to go for a picnic and ended up staying there for about an hour, until the sun got covered by the clouds so we felt like it was the right time to leave.

Being such a big area, the park has a lot of different fields to train, tennis courts, football grounds and cafes. We just went straight to the centre of the park, found a massive tree and laid our blanket there, so we could be repaired from the wind, just a bit.

Isn’t this tree so cool?

As you can tell from this photo, the weather kept changing: a minute is very sunny, the moment after is cloudy. Either way, we enjoyed our food very much (food always taste better when you eat it outside) and then it was time to play!

Maya absolutely loves being outside: she is 10 already, but she has so much energy!

After running around, we all relaxed for a bit.

And then it was time to go back!

We don’t live too close to this area of Brighton, and that’s why it felt special to go there. I’m looking forward to go back and visit it better, because it’s such a lovely and interesting place (let’s not forget about the haunted mansion).

But now I’m home, getting ready to bake cookies and make the house nice for PJ and Sophie, who are coming to dine with us and watch some horror movies.

Before I leave, I wanted to say thank you to all the people that entered yesterday’s giveaway. It’s now closed, and here is the winner:

This weekend is a four-day national holiday for me. So I’m going out with my friend, too. It was a mountainous area that I’ve been to many time for school trips but never had the chance to really explore it. My friend has come there a lot of time so I hope she will introduce me to some new places. I’m so excited! :>

    ” Bonjour Marzia ” from Belgium ,

I recently realised by reading your blog that I really like your lifestyle . 2 weeks ago I started to read your blog and it made me feel better. ( and it still does )

I’ve some big problems with my family and that makes me feel bad every second I think about it . But when I read your blog I forget all about it and I feel like I’m living your life for a few moments . During those moments , I’m feeling so good … like if it was a dream becoming true . Whatever …

Keep writing for us but most of all for you ! And thank you very much for making me dreaming like this . I really love you !

    Kenan ❤

Brighton has such wonderful places. I am so looking forward to go there again in the end of May. Even if London is very nice as well, I would rather live in Brighton. Feel this “Fernweh” for this little city at the seaside.

Maya is so sweet and Edgar looks like such an adorable grump in the photo! I had no idea that Maya was 10!! I’d love for you to do a post about the pugs, when you got them, what they’re like together, how they’re different!

Today was my birthday and it was really nice here today as well. I live by the ocean too and the smell in the air this time of year is my favorite!!!

    Marzia,

You really are life goals, huh? I’m glad you had such a nice picnic! That was a perfect photo of Maya with the flower on her head, and that’s such an adorable picture of you and Felix (again, couple goals). I would love to see you visit the haunted place! maybe you could put that on may’s notes?

    lots of love xx.

    Ciao Marzia,
Come back home, Marzia 🙂 🙂

Hey, Marzia, first of all, I apologize in advance because I know this is probably not yhe suitable place to post a comment like this, but I couldn’t find an email to contact you. Anyway, I have recently learned that your book has been translated to Portuguese, so I just thought since it’s getting translated to different languages, would you like for it to be translated to Arabic? I know A LOT of people who would read it, and I’d be happy to be the one to translate it for you. Just thought I would let you know.

Aw thank you so much for the offer, I appreciate it but unfortunately I have no say in the translation process. The rights get sold through the publisher to different countries which take care of translating it. Hopefully it will be translated in more languages soon! 🙂

    Hey Marzia!
This may not be fitting for this post but I just wanted to tell you about one of my favorite songs.
It´s called: “I have never loved someone” by My brightest Diamonds. You can find it on Spotify or on Youtube.

I find it very relaxing and I thought you´re going to like it too.
