Time to sort them out!
MY OUTFIT // Dress: Olive Clothing (similar)
Once every few months you will be looking for one of your rings, a bracelet… any kind of accessory, and realise that the way you are storing them is not ideal. Not because you didn’t try, but because, eventually, these beautiful things decide to tangle all together into a giant mess.
That’s okay. It happens to everybody. But today I felt the need to organise mine a bit better.
Let’s start out with necklaces – the worst of all. They are usually delicate, which means that if they tie all together and you want to pull one out, you must be extremely careful.
I tackled this problem by sorting mine out in 3 different groups, so there is absolutely no way that they will get lost or break. I took the rigid ones and hang them on my vanity mirror, on the side. This way they embellish it, and are easy to reach without taking up storage anywhere.
Then I took out of the group the very thin/dainty ones, that I knew I had to be particularly careful with: I put them all in a pretty box, laid out nicely. That way, as long as I don’t move it around too much, they will stay as I left them.
And at this point I was only left with thicker chains, that wouldn’t normally tangle that easily. You will see how I stored those later, together with the rest of the accessories I’m going to show you.
Now it’s time for bracelets. They are smaller, easier to store. I put the thinner ones, stackable ones and more intricate ones into 3 different pouches; just so I can find them quickly when in need.
Then there is rings. You can’t really go too wrong with them, luckily!
I just keep them all together, not really on this hand (I used it to display some for you), but do place some there when I remove them overnight if I know I will be wearing them again the day after.
Next in the list: earrings. I don’t own too many of these, actually. I used to love wearing them, but for some reasons I haven’t been wearing them often at all in the past few years.
I used to have lot of piercings all over my ears, but now if I do wear some earrings, I stick with regular ones. I wonder why!
Anyway, I find that the best way to store them is to keep the paper/plastic cut-out they came in. Sometimes I forget, but I try to save them if they do come with one.
And finally there is pins! My collection is slowly growing, it makes me so happy.Β I keep them all together in a pouch, just so I know exactly where to find them.
And so this is how I store everything together, except for some necklaces I showed earlier and some of the jewellery I never take off (which didn’t appear in this post – sorry about that).
As you can see I keep all the different items in a glass box with different compartments: the bigger one is for the necklaces that won’t tangle easily; the one on the right is for bracelets; the one in the middle for rings; and the one on the left is for earrings.
So this is all I have, and I like to see it all organised for once! You probably noticed that I prefer golden over silver; what do you usually go for? Do you have any tips for storing accessories?
Of course, if you spot something you like between my little collection, feel free to ask me about it and I will do my best to let you know where I got it from!
Have fun organising, Marzia.
Ana Stevenson
Hi Marzia!
I have always stored my jewellery in a very similar way, apart from the bracelets. I used to keep them in a random make up bag and always forget that they existed until it what time to organise the drawers. I think I might steal your idea as it will probably make me reach them more often!
Have a great week! X Ana

Hi Marzia! I love all of your jewelry pieces they are very pretty. You have inspired me to organize, thank you very much for that! Will you ever make a post showing the jewelry that you wear less and the one you never take off? If you ever are looking for more jewelry I suggest Medowbelle Market on Etsy. But anyways, I hope that you have a wonderful day!
P.s I am very excited to read your book! π

Do you have a specific store you get your pins from or do you just get them randomly? Also, do you have a jean jacket or backpack that you would recommend to decorate the pins with? Thanks, Marzia!!! xoxo

I love your Totoro pin!
Also, have you ever seen those earring stands where there’s lots of holes on them so you can easily put the earrings through them? It’s kind of hard to explain, so it’s probably easier to just search it up so you know what I mean. I think you might like them because you could also use them to hold your collection of pins!

It’s really amusing to me how we have similar taste in bracelets, rings and necklaces, except that mine are all silver! How interesting is that! Nevertheless, i really liked your accessories, and the way you organized them. Maybe it’s time for me to do that as well!

I’m absolutely in love with the white-flowered earrings! Where did you get it from? They’re so cute β€ I usually tend to stick to gold jewelry too, partly because it suits better my skin undertone (I'm warm), but most importantly because I like it better and find it easier to pull off. TBH I'm very disorganised when it comes to arranging jewelry, normally I just put mine in this cute little music box I have (the smaller pieces such as bracelets, chains and some earrings) because of the size, but I always try to keep my accessories' original packages if they come in boxes -particularly when they're watches or actual gold accessories-, because that way I can sort through them easily. I also loved all of your rings, particularly the moon one, the eye one, and the rose gold and normal gold pair; I barely wear rings, but those are gorgeous π Also, I noticed you've got lots of accessories with stones, do you have any favourite?

I put my jewlery in pouches like you ehe. But I do have a very important question for anyone willing to asnwer…how do you stop cheap jewlery from rusting and turning that gross orange colour??! Or does anyone have any tips as to how I can clean my jewelry with products I can find around the house? Any tips would be most appreciated.
P.S Marzia I prefer silver jewellery, I’m very pale and I believe it suits my complexion more than gold. π
Have a lovely day all. -Samantha

I’ve been attempting to reorganize my own jewellery in the past week or so, as well! I thought it would be a simple process, but I haven’t satisfied myself with it yet. I love the idea of storing in small bags, which I actually have some of (mostly they came with little soaps inside).
I bought your book yesterday and finished it already. It was such a fun, delightfully creepy story! I admit that it took me a little while to figure out the puzzle. I’ve been playing with writing a novel of my own for a few months now; I relish creepy little stories, as you seem to, so that is what I aim to create. Only time will tell if it works out, but congratulations on yours, because I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Thanks for sharing your tips, Marzia! I love the idea of using the little organza pouches. For my really long necklaces I have hammered small metal hooks into my wall – four on each side of my vanity mirror – and I hang them there. It looks really pretty!

Hey marzia! Your jewelry is so beautiful! My favorites are 3 rings on the hand: the last ring on the bottom of the thumb, the very top ring on the middle finger (looks kind of like an a Egyptian eye), and the moon ring on the very bottom of the ring finger. I love very dainty/vintage things because I’m a simple person XD I’ve also been very into the stars and the moon lately (which is why the necklace I got in your starry night box is rusting-I never take it off ^-^). Can’t wait until the next post!

I usually wear silver, but I love wearing gold as well. I feel like I’m more dressed up if I wear gold accessories.
I have a jewelery box which I keep most of my stuff in, but I use another small box for my most precious ones. I have acually made a jewelery hanger which is attached to the ceiling – It’s made out of some toilet paper rolls, wire, thread and some fabric. I made the wire into small hooks and attached it through the toilet paper rolls.
Love your blog, Marzia<3 You are such a beautiful and unique person!

I have a lot of earrings, and I always seem to lose them. I found the best way to store them, is to pin them onto an old necklace/chain. (I have hung mine on the side of my mirror). I know you don’t have many earrings, but this is still a really good way of storing them!.

Hey Marzia,
This actually made me organize my wardrobe. π
Thanks for the motivation, I appreciate it.
The jewelry is beautiful, sadly I don’t really like wearing it. I always want to buy stuff like that and then I have to tell myself that I am not going to wear it and that it is a waste of money. Sadly. I tend to take bracelets and necklaces off throughout the day. The only accessories I enjoy wearing are earrings (small ones) and sometimes a ring. π
Uh, before I forget; I wanted to thank you and this community!
I disconnected from the Internet for a little while because I realized that it made me sad. Well. I knew that for a while, but this time I was in charge of my happiness. Finally. All the negativity on the Internet started to drag me down and made me angry and sad towards the humans on earth. (I know that there are also awesome people out there – like you guys – but I feel like the Internet is overrun by ignorant and … I don’t know how to say it but I thing you get the point.)
The only thing I allowed myself to read was your Blog. And here is the thing.
This page is such a light, happy and appreciative place, that I can’t stop grinning when I’m on here. You guys are all so loving and wonderful and scrolling through the comment-section is extremely fun and… healthy. Probably. π
So I just wanted to thank you all! Thank you for making this page so special to me and thank you for beeing awesome and nice human beings. π
Stay inspiring lovely people, Nora.

Hi Marzia! This has nothing to with your post but I thought I would have a better chance of you seeing this from your blog π I am sure you already know about this but the auto-captioning Youtube has is very bad.. Although I don’t have any hearing problems, many people who do have a hard time because of this π¦ I know that it is hard to caption every video you make but maybe you can find someone to do it for you. I would offer to do it myself but sadly I am too busy with school work. You have a lot of subscribers and I think it is important for you to do such a positive and important thing. I am sure it will mean the world to thousands of people π Of course, considering he has the most subscried channel on Youtube, it would also mean a lot if Pewds started captioning, too. π I am aware it is very easy to ask you to do such a thing, while it is hardwork to actually do it. I just wanted to make an effort to let you know. In the website area I am going to leave the Youtube page of a girl who actually is deaf, maybe you would like to check it out. π Thanks for at least reading this and keep being awesome ^.^ Also sorry for being irrelevant to your post..

Hi, Marzia!
First of all I just need to tell you that I’m a big admirer of your blog and YouTube channel!
I don’t normally write comments to anything on the internet but i just thought about a little funny thing that i acknowledged in this particular post.
I’m studying to become a stylist in Sweden, because thats where I live. And from what I’ve learnt so far is that you can easily see if someone has a cold or worm skin tone by what metal the client prefer, (and by metal I mean gold or silver).
What was a little funny about it is that you have a warm tone and prefer gold, most of the time this rule actually works!
I just thought it was a little fun fact, or maybe it was just boring, but anyways!
Keep doing what you do and be your wonderful self (I know you will!)
And btw, I just LOVE reading about you and Felix! It’s the most adorable thing in the world (except for maybe sloths, or pugs).
